Per the company:
A popular 1920s fashion among the young, adventurous "flapper" girls was the straight-sided drop-waist dress with handkerchief hem, worn with tunic tops made out of revealingly sheer fabrics. It was daring to attract attention to the youthful, healthy body underneath the clothes, instead of concealing it with the conservative garments of earlier years.
Our sewing pattern for this Monte Carlo Dress, from 1924, is inspired by the captivating styles of Paul Poiret and Jacquese Doucet. The sheath dress features the drop waist and cylindrical silhouette so popular of the time. It is finished off with a bias-cut handkerchief hem that swishes seductively around nylon-stockinged legs and shows off a bit of ankle. Fanciful decoration was all the rage, in beads, sumptuous embroidery, and bejeweled ornaments. Embellish the dress according to the occasion, using the vintage design motifs included in the pattern.
Two simple-sew tunics can be embellished with tassels or sparking baubles and worn in different arrangements over the dress: facing front of back, belted all around, or belted just in the front. They also create opportunities for interesting layering of sheer or shimmering fabrics.

YES! I always combine orders and refund excess shipping - no need to contact me - I do it automatically.
Can you make me a special ribbon?
Minimum orders for jacquard ribbon from my factory start at 1000yds. I can certainly assist with this process but this is only for serious inquires. NO ONE will make you a personal jacquard ribbon for just a few yards but there are several companies on Etsy that offer to make ribbons in lesser quantities. Contact me with any questions.
Do you have faster shipping services?
I offer shipping upgrade options (choose from your cart if needed.) Upgrades are quoted HIGH since I don't know the weight of the order till it's been submitted but excess monies will be refunded. Upgrades are NOT REFUNDABLE if you choose to return an item. While I usually ship within 1-2 days (in the order they are received) please note that a shipping upgrade speeds up the delivery time but not how fast it leaves the studio. EXPRESS upgrades will require a signature for delivery.
My order is showing "Pre-Transit" - what does that mean?
Items shipped as "flat" are assigned a tracking number that is unique to Etsy. The post office does not have tracking on this package but if they have been scanned then you can find information within your order under the tracking info. This number is proof of shipping and guarantees that your order is insured by Etsy.
How fast do you ship out orders?
Orders ship within 1-3 days. If a delay is expected I will contact you.
Who pays return shipping if I change my mind?
I PAY RETURN SHIPPING FEES IN THE USA. International orders are responsible for their own returns. Depending upon how much of the order you return I will "pro-rate" the return shipping. If you return the entire order I pay all costs. If you return part of the order then we will share in the expense. Contact me if you want to know more.
The reason for the return is not important - if you don't love it then send it back. Someone else can use it! Request a return/pre-paid label. It's a simple, fast & easy process for the buyer. Special order ribbons are not returnable so please request a free sample to be sure it will work for you.
NOTE: Shipping upgrades are not refundable.
International Sales Taxes
The buyer is responsible for any and all import taxes connected with their sale. Each country is different - I have nothing to do with these taxes.
FREE SHIPPING Promotion
Shipping method used for "free shipping promotion" is at my discretion and is usually shipped as a flat. If you wish it shipped faster than you will need to pay for a shipping upgrade to a package.
